About Us
The Byron Visitor Centre Inc. closed it doors permanently in August 2025. The centre had occupied the old Stationmaster’s Cottage in the heart of Byron Bay and had received no institutional funding throughout its 24 years of operation. Many locals generously supported the running of the centre throughout these years by volunteering their time and made it possible for the business to enjoy twenty four fantastic years of service for our visitors.
This website in now the main supplier of information for visitors regarding Byron Bay and the surrounding villages and regions including National Parks, waterfalls and coastal walks. For a tailored perspective on what you can do during your visit and a general what’s on and where to eat around town please email us.
The Byron Visitor Centre is associated with the Brunswick Heads Visitor Centre, an accredited Level Two Visitor Information Centre.
The Byron Visitor Centre is supported by a membership base of businesses and individuals in Byron and surrounding areas. Members listed on this website have indicated that they are properly accredited, insured and/or registered to run their businesses.
