National Parks Walks & Waterfalls
Here is a list of accessible short and/or day walks that are in Byron Bay, Nightcap National Park or the Byron Shire and surrounds. You can find a mix of National Park walks, dog friendly walks, waterfall walks, inland walks and coastal reserve walks. A car is needed to get to the majority of these walks, but there are three that are accessible from anywhere in town.
Nightcap National Park
Minyon Falls
is a spectacular waterfall roughly 45 minutes from Byron Bay. It is situated within stunning natural rainforest and the bushwalking tracks are centred around it. Dependent on how much rain the region has had, the falls can look very different. In most conditions you will be able to swim at the bottom of the falls. There are four walks at Minyon Falls and two different trails to get to the base.
From top of Minyon Falls to base
You can also include Condong Falls on this trail. The last 100m of the walk is scrambling up and across rocks which can be slippery so we advise
you wear appropriate footwear.

This walk follows the track down along Repentance Creek to the base of the falls. It is the easier and quicker route to the base. Follow that around until you join the footpath, walk past the little harbour and onto the track through the mangroves. From here you will follow the footpath all the way past Reflections Ferry Reserve Holiday Park and local residences until the accessible grass walkway stops. Here, you can turn around and walk back.
