The Byron Clay Workers Gallery
The Byron Clay Workers Gallery celebrates local clay workers in a supportive, purpose-built and collaborative exhibition space near Clunes, 10 minutes from Bangalow, in the beautiful Byron hinterland.
Developed and curated by well-respected local ceramicist, John Stewart, in collaboration with partner, designer, Leonie Lane, Byron Clay Workers Gallery sits within Fairview Studios at 114 Stewarts Road, Clunes. It exhibits a variety of quality traditional and contemporary ceramics created by local established and developing clay workers. It adjoins John’s studio, established in 1972, and surrounds the largest down-draft wood fired studio kiln in Australia.
Byron Clay Workers Gallery is air-conditioned and open to the public 10am – 4pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On other days John is working in his studio but is happy to greet visitors to the Gallery.
