Depart from our base at Lismore (or other departure location) before taking a scenic flight around the Cape of Byron, its iconic lighthouse and surrounding coastline. From Byron you’ll track inland to the historic Eltham Hotel for a relaxed lunch among friends before boarding your flight back to your drop off location.

Granite Belt Weekend Winery Tour

$3,500 per person

The Granite Belt Winery Weekender is the perfect way to see a large stretch of this beautiful part of the country with carefully curated locations in just one weekend.

Staying at Braeside Homestead – a heritage listed, 145-year-old property in the Southern Downs, QLD, guests will be immersed in the best the region has to offer. Visiting Ridge Mill Estate, Balancing Heart and Savina Lane Wines, guests will be treated to wine tastings, lunch and a tour if you wish, travelling back to the homestead for a dinner by the fire – cooked by a private chef.

The last day of the weekend is spent at Spicers Peak Lodge, where guests can book ahead for a luxurious massage before lunch is spent at the two-hatted restaurant for four courses with matching wines.

This special weekender is an experience that will stay with guests long after it has ended, with the flight home over the rugged border ranges, spotting hidden waterfalls along the way – a truly “pinch yourself” moment.

During a flight in the Fly Byron helicopter you’ll breathe in the full panoramic splendour of Byron Bay and its far-reaching hinterland. You really do get to feel the very elements that make up the Northern Rivers region. Seen from the air you can appreciate why this area is considered one of the world’s great wonders – World Heritage listed National Parks, craggy cliffs, farmland and the most breathtakingly untouched coastline you can imagine.

After a scenic flight you’ll land at the picnic location boasting uninterrupted views of the iconic Nimbin Rocks. Here, your gourmet lunch will be served, a choice of two exquisite menu options paired with champagne, wine, beer or your choice of beverage.

After your long lunch, you’ll board the helicopter once again to return home.

Sailing Amaroo Collaboration

Have one of your most memorable days yet with an ultimate helicopter scenic flight and a private yacht charter onboard the beautiful sailing boat ‘Amaroo’. Departing the Northern Rivers, your flight will head up the Byron Coast and track north taking in breathtaking views of Byron’s famous lighthouse, Wategos Beach and all that Byron has to offer.

Spotting dolphins, rays and turtles is almost a given flying over the diverse marine sanctuary at the cape.

Discover the many coastal towns on your way toward the gold coast as the high-rise landscape of Surfers Paradise comes into view.

Soaring past the famous skyscraper ‘Q1’ that towers above the helicopter’s flight path, we are now set for an approach into sanctuary cove marina where your next adventure awaits.

Upon arrival, board the buggy for the short transfer to ‘Amaroo’.

Once onboard ‘Amaroo’ she will take you gently down the Coomera river towards the Gold Coasts Broadwater. You will have the option of heading out through the seaway for a blast along the coast under sail before dropping anchor in the protected waters behind South Stradbroke Island for a relaxing lunch and swim. Guests are welcome to get involved in the sailing or sit back and take in the views.

Arriving back at the helicopter, your adventure isn’t over yet!

Tracking south towards home, the search is on for the hinterlands many hidden waterfalls.

Mount Warning dominates the horizon and is shortly towering above the helicopter standing over 1km high.

Climbing up and over the nearly 4,000 ft peak, an orbit now brings into view the border ranges that make up the walls of this ancient tweed volcanic basin.

A slow descent towards base, there is plenty of time to take in the rolling hills that make up the Byron Hinterland before completing your unforgettable ultimate day trip with Fly Byron and Sailing Amaroo.

From pickup we depart north, picking up the Byron Coastline

Itinerary:

  • Fly Byron/Homestead – Sanctuary Cove Marina
  • 30 mins turn around Heli – Yacht
  • Board Amaroo for a 5-hour charter.
    • This would take guests along the Coomera River to the Southport Seaway, weather permitting take guests through the seaway and sail in the ocean for roughly 90 minutes (hopefully spotting whales) before returning for lunch at anchor behind South Stradbroke, onwards to Sanctuary Cove.
  • 30 mins turn around Yacht – Heli.
  • Fly Byron depart Sanctuary Cove return to Base.

Sanctus Brewery Tour

Experience the Clarence Valley regions like never before. Departing via helicopter from Lismore Base (or other departure locations), you’ll track east to meet the coast before you get to witness the majestic expanse of our coastal region by air you’ll track south to the Clarence Valley’s Iluka, Yamba and Angourie before landing at Sanctus Brewing Company for a VIP experience. The three and a half-hour door to door experience includes exclusive tastings of seasonal beer and spirits all handcrafted on site, a behind the scenes look at the brewing, distilling and packaging processes finishing and gourmet lunch using locally sourced produce.
