Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

A family favourite wildlife experience for 75 years, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled within 27 hectares of wide-open spaces.

There’s so much animal action to enjoy in one day! Cuddle a Koala, pat kangaroos and feed a crocodile! Discover the forgotten world of Lost Valley and interact with exotic mammals and reptiles, along with free-flying birds. Meet dinosaurs and megafauna when you walk the ROAR-SOME experience, Extinction Trail.

Relax and take a tour on the historic miniature train. Walk on the wild side with unforgettable daily animal encounters and experiences bringing you face-to-face with extraordinary wildlife.

Soar to Wild Skies Free Flight Bird Show and watch colourful parrots and birds of prey free-fly over the audience in a breathtaking display set amongst the Sanctuary’s lush eucalyptus and rainforest. Journey into the dark and meet reptiles and night-dwelling critters at Repturnal Den.

Be immersed in the rich, ancient culture of the Gold Coast region’s Indigenous people as the Yugumbeh Aboriginal Dancers share storytelling by dance in the daily Aboriginal Culture Show.

Cool off at Wild Island Adventure Splash Zone. Set amongst a stunning landscape of sub-tropical flora and fauna, it’s the perfect place to relax and watch the kids run wild amongst timed water jets, streams and waterfalls and enjoy exploring Wild Island Playground.

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, located on the grounds of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, opened over 33 years ago and has grown into one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world. Last year alone, the hospital admitted almost 14,000 animals, including nearly 600 Koalas, providing a service that is free of charge to the community. Watch our vets in action and learn how you can play an important role in protecting endangered species.
