Rent an E-bike to ride trails around Byron Bay, go shopping, eat at a restaurant or visit a distillery. Better By Bike will provide the bike and map for you and will drop the bike right to your door.
Alternatively, if you are looking for what is now a Great Australian ride then embark on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. This 24 km journey through the lush and picturesque Northern Rivers hinterland will have you pass through native rainforests, quaint villages and a 520m long glow worm tunnel.
Better By Bike provides high end E-Bikes for rent with trailside rentals if you have your own vehicle or a full service experience with door to door return shuttles to and from the spectacular rail trail. The ride is for all ages and riding abilities – couples, families and large group events.
The self-guided Rail Trail experience starts in either Mooball or Murwillumbah or alternatively opt for a transfer pickup in either Byron Bay and surrounds or the Kingscliff/Pottsville area.
Most customers take the return journey to the bike pickup point in Mooball or Murwillumbah which is a total 48 kms. Duration is approximately 5 hrs depending on the number and length of stops. However, those opting for a shorter ride are catered for with shuttles back to their vehicles or accommodation from any point along the trail.
The bikes come fully set up and include :
Giro helmets for your safety
Gel seat for comfort
Panniers to carry your stuff,
Light for the tunnel,
A map and bike lock
A personalised for fit to ensure you have a great ride.
Before you set off on the trail you will be given a safety briefing and operating instructions for your bike. Children can do the trail with extra small E-bikes or tag ride-along bikes or a tag ride-along chariot and for infant’s there is a baby seat option available. Dogs can ride also.
The ride tour is fully supported by Better By Bike staff who can assist on the rail trail with replacement bikes if needed.
