Get ready for the World Naked Bike Ride Byron Bay which kicks off on the 8th March.Join us for the biggest and best WNBR we have seen riding the streets of Byron. We will be counting on perfect weather and massive crowds as we protest Bike Safety on our Roads. Each year riders gear up to ride around the town of Byron Bay and the world with the aim to:-
  • Highlight the vulnerability of cyclists to motorists who appear blind to our presence
  • Protest against transport powered by non sustainable forms of energy
  • Promote positive body image for all
The World Naked Bike Ride encourages drivers to take notice of cyclists, and promotes cyclist safety. So if you haven’t already, it’s time to do a safety check on your bike and ensure you wear your helmet which is compulsory in NSW and remember to bring a big smile. Whether you ride or spectate this is one of Byron’s annual fantastic event whilst getting the message out there ‘Can you see me now’ by riding au natural. This year as always our riders are encouraged to ‘Bare as you dare’. So whether a spectator or a participant come along for the weekend that swells the towns numbers as we protest Bike safety in the raw.
This year WNBR Byron Bay, we are meeting at Gilmore crescent Sandhills Reserve Byron Bay from 1pm and the ride across town will commence at 3pm sharp. Please remember no walkers permitted , you must be on a bike, skates, or similiar.
