The film Surfing To Survive gives an insight into Byron local Karin’s daily struggles due to a rare illness.
It shows how surfing and the ocean offer the energy to deal with her challenges and bring happiness.

Interviews are held with surfers Pauline Menczer, Danny Wills and Ozzie Wrong, health professionals, neighbours and more.

Performing friends will support Karin during this fundraiser event for her:

After Delta Kay’s ‘Welcome to Country’, former Surf World Champion Pauline Menczer will present her experience with Karin.
Musicians Sali Bracewell and Mandy Hawkes will paint a musical picture of Karin’s life.

At the end, the audience will have the chance to participate in a Q&A with Karin.
