A constellation of space, science and astronomy, Star Stuff 2024 is set to be an unforgettable experience for anyone passionate about astronomy and science.

The all day and all night event includes:

Presentations:  a full day of talks from leading minds in space and astronomy, providing unique insights and knowledge.
An on-site Astronomy & Book store: A variety of astronomy equipment and books will be available for purchase and demonstration, including new products for 2024.
Special Gala Dinner: there are limited tickets for the gala dinner with includes an additional presentation and prize draws.
Day & Night Telescope Astronomy: Depending on weather conditions, attendees can observe celestial objects through telescopes provided by volunteers from the Southern Astronomical Society.
Meteorites for sale: Naren King’s collection of meteorites, certified by Crystal Castle, will be on display and available for purchase.

For those wishing to set up their own telescopes, the resort provides both near-cabin options in almost total darkness and a secure, powered field for a more communal “star party” experience.

Trevor Jones – ASTROBACKYARD (YOUTUBE)
A renowned astrophotographer, Trevor Jones is known for his stunning images of the cosmos and educational content on his YouTube channel, AstroBackyard.

Kirsten Banks – PHD ASTROPHYSICIST / TIKTOK
Kirsten Banks is an Indigenous Australian researcher and science communicator specializing in stellar astrophysics and asteroseismology. Her enthusiasm for space is palpable through her active social media presence.

Dr. Lisa Harvey-Smith – PHD ASTROPHYSICIST / AUTHOR
An astrophysicist and Australia’s Women in STEM Ambassador, Dr. Harvey-Smith has extensive research interests and is the author of six books. She will be available for book signings at the event.

Terry Lovejoy – COMET DISCOVERER
Known for discovering some of the brightest comets, Terry Lovejoy continues his search for new comets and has several named after him.

Dylan O’Donnell – BYRON BAY ASTRONOMER
The event’s founder, Dylan O’Donnell, is an acclaimed amateur astrophotographer with work featured by NASA. He also educates and entertains through his YouTube channel.
