Byron Writers Festival is thrilled to present Robyn Davidson, explorer and author of the international bestseller Tracks, for an intimate conversation with Zacharey Jane about her memoir Unfinished Woman at Byron Theatre on Friday 8 December.
Davidson’s free spirit has taken her off the beaten path motivated by an unquenchable curiosity about other ways of seeing and understanding the world. Best known for her epic solo odyssey across the Australian outback with four camels & a dog in 1977, Davidson’s first book Tracks was an international sensation, later adapted into a film starring Mia Wasikowska and Adam Driver.
Now, Davidson has turned to explore the terrain she had avoided the most – the past. Hailed as ‘an extraordinary memoir about an extraordinary life’ (Nikki Gemmell), Unfinished Woman is an unforgettable investigation of time and memory, and a powerful interrogation of how we can live with and find beauty in the uncertainty and strangeness of being.
Join Robyn Davidson as she discusses her brave and revealing memoir, which asks the eternal question: how do we learn to be ‘at home everywhere’?
Book your tickets now to this special event with one of the most adventurous writers in Australian literature. Friday 8 December, 6pm at Byron Theatre.
