2023 sees the much loved  Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup celebrating its 20th anniversary.  Featuring 36 outstanding poets from around the country – Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland and NSW,  the performance poets will be initially grouped into four heats of eight poets starting at 10.30am on Saturday 2 September.

Sunday 3 September you can watch two semifinals with eight poets in each semifinal. This round starts at 12pm.

The cost for the audience to get into these two incredibly entertaining events is a gold coin donation.

For the big finale you will hear the best eight poets perform in the final on Sunday 3 September starting at 7.30pm. The cost for this event is $15 at the door.

Throughout the competition, each poet gets 8 minutes to share their poetry for a chance to win the coveted Cup and $2,000 1st Prize.
