MURWILLUMBAH ARTS TRAIL

Now in its sixth year, the annual event is an exhibition of contemporary art that showcases artists from the Tweed Valley and surrounds, offering the community a chance to see artists at work, participate in art activities and purchase art from local artists.

Visit the historic town of Murwillumbah, the creative heart of the region and follow the trail through some of the most picturesque countryside in Australia to visit artists in their studios, historic halls and pop up galleries in the surrounding villages. Showcasing a diverse range of art forms including painting, printmaking, jewellery, sculpture, photography, fine glass and mosaics.

This is your opportunity to spend up to three days touring the stunning countryside from Cabarita Beach to Uki, enjoying the work of some of the best artists and makers in the area as they open their homes, studios and shared venues.

It’s a chance for fans, collectors, fellow artists, or those just curious about our bustling scene to get behind-the-scenes views of creative processes, learn about new artists in the area, and take advantage of studio sales.

Join the artists and makers, the crafters, musicians, poets, storytellers and all the other creative people of the Murwillumbah Art Trail on May 28th -30th  2021

Come and enjoy a free weekend of inspirational art, uplifting music, creative workshops, dazzling performances, artisan food and locally brewed beverages.

MAT is run by a talented group of people who put in the work to bring you this annual event. We gratefully acknowledge Tweed Shire Council funding with support from  Tweed Tourism. It’s auspiced and supported by Creative Caldera, a not-for-profit incorporated organisation supporting local art and artists.
