Mullum Roots Festival returns in 2025. To unveil the 2025 Festival concept, a special concert featuring Robert Forster (The Go Betweens), supported by Lou Bradley will be happening in Mullumbimby.
Robert Forster is a Brisbane based singer-songwriter and author. In 1978, with friend Grant McLennan, he co-founded the acclaimed pop/rock band The Go-Betweens. The group, based in London for five and a half years, recorded six albums and toured extensively, before breaking up in late 1989. Forster has worked as the music critic for Australian politics and culture magazine The Monthly and has also received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters from Queensland University. In 2016 he published his memoir, ‘Grant & I ’ which won the Book Of The Year award in Mojo and Uncut. His memoir has been translated and published in Italian and German.
The launch for the much anticipated 2025 Mullum Roots Festival will introduce people to how they can get involved and the general all round lowdown on the concept which promises a vibrant celebration of music, community, and sustainability.
Organiser, esteemed musician and founder of the popular Nimbin Roots Festival, Lou Bradley has her sites set on collaborating closely with the local community to ensure the festival’s success. Joining her is seasoned music industry veteran Jon O’Rourke, bringing over three decades of expertise as a record label owner, manager, and producer.
