Matsuri | Japan Festival Byron Bay is an annual event to introduce a unique Japanese cultural experiences for understanding of diversity through the food stalls, the dramatic Taiko drumming and music, traditional dance performance, kids activities and crafts, dance workshops, also markets of kimono, and craft.

Come and enjoy this special festival on Sunday 9 July with the opening ceremony, didgeridoo and Taikov artist from 2pm at Byron YAC, 1 Gilmore Street, Byron Bay.  Bring your picnic blankets, eat by the fire pit and be entertained for free with live music and entertainment which goes through until 8pm. Hot winter Japanese food as you have not tasted before is available from the Lantern Street food market.

The Japan Festival is a family event with local youth performing on the day following attendance at a 3 day intensive music camp with Ryuji Hamada, who will also be the final performer for the evening.
