Celebrating the Winter Solstice, the annual Lismore Lantern Parade is a celebration based on a breath-taking parade of lanterns, light and performance through the main streets of Lismore, travelling through the heart of the city to the banks of the Wilson’s River climaxing with theatrical performance, fireworks and a spectacular bonfire. This is a well loved community and family event.
Starting at 12 pm the Market deLight helps kick off the day.
Kids Fest is also a 12pm kick off with activities, street performers, jumping castle and other fun activities
The Heartbeats Festival Stage is on from 12pm – 9pm. Situated on Carrington St, near Dragonfly Cafe.
The Lantern Parade starts at 5.30pm travelling up Molesworth St through the heart of the city to Magellan St, then past the Library, and up Dawson St into Oakes Oval finishing at 6.30pm.
The Fiery Finale | 6.30pm -7.30pm | will be in the Oakes Oval PLEASE NOTE There will be gentle pyrotechnics, and lots of fire.
TAFE NSW, Lismore will be live streaming the fiery finale for all to enjoy so no-one need miss out this year.
The Lismore hotels and venues situated in the city will put on a variety of after parties from 8.30pm – late to complete this full day of celebration.
