Byron is the perfect place to spend your festive season break.  Warm weather, plenty of delicious food, live entertainment, markets, a family community event on New Years Eve and plenty of water activities for all the family including surfing, snorkelling, diving, kayaking and paddle boarding.

FOOD
On Christmas Day the following restaurants are open for lunch:
Loft Byron Bay – there are still spots for the first sitting – 11.30am – 2.00pm
Crystalbrook – SOLD OUT. Waiting list only.
No Bones – Two sittings – 12pm & 3pm
Elements – Christmas lunch event

For those who want to eat Christmas lunch in the cool of their own home but don’t want the hassle of cooking,  Harvest at Newrybar has Christmas orders now open – from show-stopping baked hams to indulgent sides and sweet treats they are offering everything you need for a memorable Christmas feast.

NEW YEARS EVE
Soul Street 2024 starts at 4pm. A free, family-friendly community New Years Eve event, Soul Street has two main areas of entertainment in the town.
Jonson Street – live music, street dining and roving performers. 4pm – 9pm
Dening Park – lighting installations and entertainment on the main stage from 6pm – 12.30am.
PLEASE NOTE this is an alcohol free zone with on the spot fines.

LIVE MUSIC
The Rails Hotel is the best-loved live music venue in Byron Bay.  Set back from the main road at 80 Jonson Street, the pub has been home to free live music every night of the week for over 30 years – everything from roots, reggae and blues to funk, folk and rock.
