A winter wine, dine and delight
Every weekend in August, Crystalbrook Byron is hosting some of the most interesting wineries and wine makers in Australia. Each Saturday a winemaker is set to take over Forest restaurant and guide our guests through a long, lush and totally indulgent menu with paired wines.
For those after something a bit more relaxed, Our Rainforest Lawn will be reimagined as a vibrant, vineyard-inspired oasis serving wine flights, tastings, cheese and charcuterie boards and some good tunes. Sip and snack under the festoon lights, keep cozy next to the crackling firepits and stretch out on Wandering Folk picnic blankets.
6 – 7 August: Dal Zotto Wines
Established in 1987 by Italian-born winemaker Otto and Elena Dal Zotto, they were the first to plant prosecco vines in the King Valley, elevating the sparkling variety in Australia. Dal Zotto Trattoria is also one of the state’s best winery restaurants. The La Dolce Vita Long Lunch will feature a decadent Italian-inspired menu paired with a curated selection of Dal Zotto wines. 13 – 14 August: Whistler Wines
The Whistler Wine Long Lunch will feature a decadent menu paired with a curated selection of Whistler wines. Whistler was founded by Martin Pfeiffer, former Head Vineyard Manager at Penfolds and 3rd generation grape-grower. Therefore, at the core of our family-owned business is a love of the land. Now, Martin’s son Sam, with his wife Kelsey, are second generation owners and pride themselves on producing sustainably grown, handcrafted wines.

20 – 21 August: Nick Spencer Wines
The Nick Spencer Long Lunch will feature a decadent menu paired with a curated selection of Nick Spencer Wines. Producing award winning wines for nearly two decades, Nick’s passion and remarkable talent for considered, quality wines is evident in every bottle. His wines are regularly recognised by James Halliday, most recently being noted in the top ten best new wineries for 2019.

27 – 28 August: Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards
The Oliver’s Taranga Long Lunch will feature a decadent menu paired with a curated selection of Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards wines. The lunch will be hosted by 2022 ‘Winemaker of the Year’ Corrina Wright.
The Oliver’s collection of small batch, handcrafted wines speak of both the variety and vintage, capturing a time and place, while continuing to document the family’s ongoing 182 year relationship with the land.
