Project Description

Birdwatching Byron Bay

Peter Steeholdt, your local guide has lived in the Byron area for 35 years and brings to you his extensive knowledge of watching and studying birds here and  throughout Australia and internationally.

Peter is a member of Birdlife  NSW, qualified academically and is a J.P.

“You will enjoy an extensive tour of the wetlands, open forest and rainforest where you will see many birds species as well enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch”

Peter has a entry key to access the Byron Wetlands. Here you will view many water and mash loving species. You will see more as we drive through the open forest  and scenic hinterlands as well as discover hidden cafes and gems only the local know about.   We also visit a section of the original big scrub and rainforest to see other endemic species. Our tour ends with a visit to an ibis and egret rookery.
