SUMMARY:Byron Latin Fiesta
DESCRIPTION:When the Byron Latin Fiesta was born\, the main focus was to bring the local Latin dance community together and to give the national industry within Australia a platform to showcase their talents. It was also intended to educate and excite new comers. As the event has evolved and grown it has become an International\, National and Local event and yet\, it still strives to keep a rather grass roots approach and to stay connected to it’s humble beginnings. \nThe Byron Latin Fiesta running from November 2 – November 5 is held in the heart of Byron Bay at the Byron Theatre & Community Centre. The event happens over four nights & three days and is Australia’s longest running Latin dance festival. \nDon’t miss out on this spectacular event where you will enjoy parties\, workshops\, performances\, live music\, DJ’s but most of all – dancing\, dancing\, dancing. \nPurchase tickets here

SUMMARY:British Film Festival | Palace Cinema
DESCRIPTION:Many of Britain’s most enduring and well-known faces feature in this stunning British film selection including Anthony Hopkins\, Timothy Spall\, Olivia Colman\, Helena Bonham Carter\, Ian McKellen\, Helen Mirren\, Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson in her final film. \nThe 2023 Festival will open with the premiere of One Life starring Sir Anthony Hopkins. Based on a deeply moving true story of kindness and compassion that was almost forgotten for 50 years\,  Hopkins delivers a remarkable performance as Sir Nicholas Winton\, also known as the “British Schindler”\, who helped rescue hundreds of children from Europe on the verge of World War II. \nThe Critic is a wickedly mischievous reimagining of Anthony Quinn’s novel Curtain Call\, featuring an all-star cast led by Sir Ian McKellen and Gemma Arterton. \nClosing the Festival is the Australian Premiere of Wicked Little Letters\, based on a true scandal of the 1920s. It stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley as neighbours in a small town whose residents start receiving anonymous\, expletive-laden letters. \nThe 2023 British line up showcases a superb selection of documentaries. My Name is Alfred Hitchcock\, is extensively and intricately researched\, weaving footage from virtually every film Hitchcock made to offer a fresh profile of the masterful movie maker and his practice; Jackie Stewart\, a compelling documentary profile of Formula 1 World Champion\, team owner and legend of the sport; \nThe above featured image is from Anton Corbijn’s profile of Hipgnosis the iconic album art design studio that rock royalty used during the 1970s designing iconic album covers for bands including Pink Floyd\, Wings\, Black Sabbath\, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC in Squaring the Circle – The Story of Hipgnosis.  \nFor all session times and further information. \nDon’t miss this one!
