SUMMARY:Byron Casting presents "A PROPERTY OF THE CLAN"
DESCRIPTION:OUR 2022 YOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTION \nCome and enjoy a powerful Australian drama in a beautiful old theatre in Lismore and support our talented local actors and creatives. \nIt’s been a long road for live performance in our region and our talented cast of 20 (including 17 youths) are thrilled to be stepping back on to stage. \n‘A Property of the Clan’ was written by Nick Enright in 1992. Set in regional NSW it is a tragic tale inspired by real events\, and examines a culture of boys and girls lost in the gender war of Australian masculinity and the emotional effects that loss has on young people. \nThis stimulating and powerful piece suits teenagers through to adults and holds a mirror up to society and make us question our ways. The Rochdale theatre offers a real step back in time\, it’s comfortable and intimate setting ensures a memorable theatre experience. \nThe Directors of Byron Casting bring a fantastic track record in directing and producing brilliant performances; \n“The last couple of years have been incredibly tough for our youth\, and then we had the floods. Witnessing our cast turn up to rehearsals and finding a positive outlet through doing what they love\, is exactly what they deserve right now. SUMMARY:THE DESERT SAID DANCE – Screening + Live Q&A presented by Garage Entertainment @ Byron Theatre
DESCRIPTION:WHEN:\nMay 26\, 2022 @ 7:30 pm – 9:45 pm\n\n\nWHERE:\nByron Theatre\n69 Jonson Street\nByron Bay NSW 2481\nAustralia\n\n\nCOST:\n$24.50\n\n\nCONTACT:\n\n\n Event website \n\n\n\n\n\n \nPLEASE NOTE\nThis event was previously scheduled for Friday 4th March but was postponed due to the extreme flooding situation across the Northern Rivers at the time. \nAll tickets issued for 4th March have been transferred to 26th May and ticket holders advised. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nMojave Productions\, Monster Children Films & Garage Entertainment present \nThe Desert Said Dance\nLive Q&A and Screening with Director & Producers – Hosted by Robbie Warden of The Good Ride Club. \nAnyone can enter the Baja 1000\, but not everyone finishes it.\nSome aren’t tough enough. Some don’t have bikes that are tough enough. And some make mistakes that take them out of the race. Sometimes\, tragically\, forever. This is a place where dreams go to die. Grand visions and hopes\, materialized\, but rarely sustained. The desert has this mysterious allure\, there is freedom\, solitude\, and opportunity. The desert is the unforgiving canvas of life\, and this is a story about the art of racing with it and against it. \nIts competitors are connected to the desert\, to their motorcycles\, and to each other. A trio of man\, nature and machine. Through this they find purpose. Flirting with death\, a 1000 mile dance in search of victory. Some cross the finish line\, others prevail\, but not all make it home. This is a celebration of tenacity\, and humankind’s unique ability to paint the world as we see it. For over 50 years\, this one-of-a-kind event has been a magnet to those brave and foolish enough to face one of the most challenging race courses in the world. \n“If there’s one moto movie you watch this year\, make it this one.”\nTransmoto \n“This film made me want to travel\, chasing my dreams.”\nTaylor Steele – Award-winning surf film director and producer \nDirector:\nLincoln Caplice \nCast:\nForrest Minchinton\, Colton Udall\, Derek Ausserbauer & Nic Garvin \nPresented by:\nMojave Productions in association with Monster Children Films \nProducers:\nHarrison Mark\, Forrest Minchinton & Jamil Hassan
