DESCRIPTION:First Sun New Year’s Day 2020\nJoin us in a dawn ceremony at Cape Byron Lighthouse. \nStart the first hours of 2020 with a guided meditation\, relaxing music and yoga. This family-friendly event offers visitors and locals alike the opportunity to welcome the New Year with conscious intentions at the most Easterly point of Australia’s mainland. \nAll activities offered are free. Please ensure you are comfortable in these early hours by bringing a yoga mat\, warm clothing\, torch\, a blanket\, sunglasses/hat and water. \nParking is advised at Clarkes Beach carpark from 4am. We recommend walking to the lighthouse from here. A guided walk will depart at 4:15am. As an alternative for those unable to walk\, free shuttle buses will operate between 4:15am – 8am. \nPlease note that the Cape Café will be open from 4:30am for early tea\, chai and coffee and later\, also offer light breakfast options for all dietary requirements (cash or card accepted). \nIn case of wet weather\, First Sun will be relocated to the Byron Community Centre at 69 Jonson St\, Byron Bay \nEvent schedule: \n4:00am Meet at Clarkes Beach carpark\, ready to walk to the lighthouse\n4:15am Walking group departs\, free shuttle buses will also operate\n5:15am Welcome to Country\n5:30am Crystal Bowl Sound Bath\n5.50am Silent Intention as the Sun emerges\n6.00am Sacred Sound Chanting\, Dance & Movement Celebration\n6.30am Soulful Yoga\, Self Empowerment Experience\, New Year Gong Intentions\n7:15am Stay to enjoy a coffee and light breakfast at the Cape Café before walking or catching the shuttle bus back to Clarkes Beach carpark.
