SUMMARY:Byron Casting presents "A PROPERTY OF THE CLAN"
DESCRIPTION:OUR 2022 YOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTION \nCome and enjoy a powerful Australian drama in a beautiful old theatre in Lismore and support our talented local actors and creatives. \nIt’s been a long road for live performance in our region and our talented cast of 20 (including 17 youths) are thrilled to be stepping back on to stage. \n‘A Property of the Clan’ was written by Nick Enright in 1992. Set in regional NSW it is a tragic tale inspired by real events\, and examines a culture of boys and girls lost in the gender war of Australian masculinity and the emotional effects that loss has on young people. \nThis stimulating and powerful piece suits teenagers through to adults and holds a mirror up to society and make us question our ways. The Rochdale theatre offers a real step back in time\, it’s comfortable and intimate setting ensures a memorable theatre experience. \nThe Directors of Byron Casting bring a fantastic track record in directing and producing brilliant performances; \n“The last couple of years have been incredibly tough for our youth\, and then we had the floods. Witnessing our cast turn up to rehearsals and finding a positive outlet through doing what they love\, is exactly what they deserve right now. I feel honoured to be facilitating this opportunity for such talented actors” Bobbie Field\, Producer \n\n\n\n\n  \nDates \nFri 20 May 2022 – Sat 28 May 2022 \nRochdale Theatre \n603 Ballina Road\, Goonellabah\, LISMORE NSW 2480 \n  \n\n\n💥 TICKETS ON SALE NOW 💥\nWe are so excited to bring this powerful play to the stage in May at the beautiful Rochdale Theatre\, Lismore.\nCome and support these talented actors\, it’s been a long road for live performances.\nA huge heartfelt thank you to our sponsors\n@tripadeal\n@firstnationalbyron@harvestnewrybar\n@cumulus_vfx\n🙏\nTickets available at https://www.trybooking.com/BYTRV\n💥 8 SHOWS ONLY💥\nPoster design by @annamariacreative 🙌

SUMMARY:Caitlin Reilly - "Streets Of This Town" @ Lone Goat Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Artist: Caitlin Reilly\nExhibition: ’Streets of this town’\nDates: Official Opening 5.30 – 7.30pm 20 Mayl\, Exhibition runs 21 May – 18 June 2022\nBlurb: Caitlin Reilly is an artist living and working in Byron Bay. ‘Streets of this town’ was born from an overwhelming need to bring attention to the overlooked and disregarded side of life here on the streets of Byron. The artist hopes to capture the visceral sense of homelessness and at the same time offer a perspective rendered with care and in doing so capture and focus your gaze as the viewer to look closer at another side of this town.
