Help stop plastic pollution on Sunday\, 7th March at 8:30am || Aveda and Sulis are teaming up with Take 3 for the Sea in an effort to clean our most loved beach.\nTake 3 for the Sea is an Australian charity whose mission is to encourage us to collect 3 pieces of rubbish in our most loved outdoor location to avoid unwanted items ending up in the ocean.\nIn Australia\, we’re sadly responsible for using:\n– 5 billion single-use bottles\n– 70 billion pieces of soft plastics such as food wrappers and\n– an estimated 7 million plastic utensils\nEVERY SINGLE DAY!\nIn Australia\, we’re sadly responsible for using:\n– 5 billion single-use bottles\n– 70 billion pieces of soft plastics such as food wrappers and\n– an estimated 7 million plastic utensils\nEVERY SINGLE DAY!\nFortunately\, in Byron Bay we’re living in an environmentally conscious community and I feel proud to see very little rubbish when I walk along the beach in the afternoons. However\, while the sand is mostly clear\, when I venture into the sand dunes (thanks to Peño)\, I see a lot of rubbish amongst the scrub. DESCRIPTION:Clean Up Australia Day inspires and empowers communities to clean up\, fix up and conserve our environment.\nJoin us on Sunday\, 7 March at 10:00am to clean up our backyard. We’ll start at the Resort and walk down to Tallow’s Beach. At Tallow’s Beach we will divide into two groups and head in opposite directions down the beach for around 30 minutes.
