The Festival provides locals and visitors with an opportunity to sample fresh and beautifully prepared food by renowned local chefs\, hear how it is grown and pay homage to our much loved local food producers! \nIn 2019 we’re excited to be expanding the Northern Rivers Food Harvest Festival to a 12 day celebration – with an Opening Event at the soon-to-be opened Husk Distillers at North Tumbulgum\, our inaugural Harvest Autumn Fair at the North Byron Parklands and the return of our Harvest Trail. \nBetween these key events\, Northern Rivers Food members will be showcasing a series of local food tours\, dinners and food experiences\, from paddock to plate and seed to flower!

DESCRIPTION:The Nimbin MardiGrass is an annual rally & celebration in the tiny village of Nimbin in northern NSW\, Australia.  Beginning in 1993\, MardiGrass is held to protest the drug laws\, educate people on the various uses of cannabis (medicinal\, industrial\, recreational & spiritual) and to celebrate the culture that has grown here over the last 40 years. \nOur mission is to bring about change with as much fun as possible.

SUMMARY:Byron Bay Property Sales Ocean Swim Classic 2019
DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Byron Bay Property Sales Ocean Swim Classic will be held on Sunday 5th May 2019. This is our 32nd Classic and our 12th Mini Swim. \nEntries now open!  \nThe Programme for Race Day\, Sunday\, 5th May 2019\n7:00am – Check-in and issue of timing bracelet\, swim cap\, event T-shirt or baseball cap at the Surf Club\, Byron Bay on Sunday May 5th from 7am.\n8:00am – The Byron Bay Mitre 10 Mini Swim check-in must be completed in time to allow entrants to walk to Clarks Beach for their race start.\n8:45am – The Byron Bay Mitre 10 Mini Swim staggered start at The Pass area. The actual Start area is dependent on the conditions of the day.\n9:00am – The Byron Bay Property Sales Ocean Swim Classic check-in closes.\n9:00am – Race briefing for the Classic takes place at the tents outside the Surf Club.\n9:15am to 10:00am – Buses leave the Surf Club for the start line at Wategos Beach. A secure baggage storage area is provided round to the right on the road side of the Hall.\n10:00am – Staggered starts for the Classic commences.\nThose who wish to wear clothing to the start for weather protection are reminded there are no facilities for these to be returned to the Surf Club. There will\, however\, be a clothing bin available for those that wish to donate clothing items to local church groups.\n12:00pm – The Presentation is scheduled to start with lucky draws for entrants\, raffle draws\, as well as the Swim Presentations.
