Face Painting

Every day during NSW school holidays 22nd December- 27 January 11am-2pm, Free after Park entry.

Nocturnal Theatre

Sugar gliders, possums, bettongs, snakes and tawny frogmouths. Marvel at these amazing creatures. Every day 2pm. Free after Park entry.

Experiences

For those visitors looking for an extra special experience we have a range of animal encounters available that come with a souvenir photo.

You can choose between sugar gliders,, reptiles including lizards, snakes or
a crocodile. Or Socrates our Barn Owl, who flies to your gloved hand!

WORKSHOPS

Wildlife Guardians

7-11 years
Become a Wildlife Guardian and understand conservation and caring for our native wildlife.
Cost is $75.00 per participant.
Workshops include lunch, afternoon tea, water bottle and a certificate of participation.
Time: 9am to 3.30pm (registration from 8.30am).
Dates available are Thursday 19th Dec, Wednesday 8th, Friday 10th, Tuesday 14th, Thursday 16th, Tuesday 21st & Friday 24th January.

Keeper for a Day

Open to kids over 12 years
Go behind the scenes and learn all about Zookeeping from one of our qualified and experienced Senior Keepers.
Cost is $100 per participant.
Workshops include lunch, afternoon tea, water bottle, certificate of participation.
Limit 10 per workshop
Time: 9am to 3.30pm (registration from 8.30 am).
Dates available: Wednesday 18th December, Thursday 9th, Friday 17th & Wednesday 22nd January.

Creature Keepers

(for NDIS planholders and children with a disability)
We know that for children with a disability, interacting with animals can provide countless benefits towards general well-being, developing a sense of responsibility, social inclusion and increased functionality.

This program offers a safe experience in small groups designed to build a participant’s independence, confidence, skills and knowledge of wildlife. Participants spend a day with our Head Keepers, learning about animals and how we care for them.
Limit: 4 per workshop
$150 per workshop
Time: 9am to 3.30pm (register 8.30am)
Includes: lunch, afternoon tea, bottle of water, certificate of participation.
Dates available are: Tuesday 17th December, Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 15th & Monday 20th January.

Critter Capture

Do you love animals and photography? Capturing great images and clips of animals requires a combination of an understanding of photography and an anticipation and knowledge of animals and their behaviour.In this workshop you will learn specialised animal photography from a qualified Keeper and expert photographer. Develop your skills while taking the unique opportunity to get up close and personal to a range of extraordinary animals.Participants should bring along their lunch and a drink, their camera, phone or tablet. Cost is $125 per participant.

Limit 6 per workshop
Time: 10am to 3pm (course time, participants can stay in the Park until close).
Dates available:Monday 6th and Monday 13th January.

The Macadamia Castle has been the area’s favourite entertainment and education destination for over 40 years. The animal park features over 250 animals including native birds, animals and reptiles. There are petting nurseries, barbeques and picnic area, mini golf, playground, a train ride and an adventure tree house with keeper talks hourly. Their quality cafe serves delicious snacks and meals. Local barista made coffee is a speciality and their pancakes are famous.

Open 8am to 5pm daily.
