Beach Hostel Byron Bay
Completed at the beginning of 2017, Byron Bay Beach Hostel is a brand new building built around the heritage listed old Byron Council Chambers. The character façade is a contrast to the modern purpose built hostel beyond. Offering a mix of private and dormitory style accommodation the Hostel will suit backpacker travellers with its’ enormous communal kitchen and many terraces for meeting fellow travellers. More independent guests will appreciate the privacy of our Queen rooms, ideal for those looking for a cheaper, quality alternative to motel accommodation. All of this located in the most central position in Byron. 50m from the Main Beach and in the midst of Byron’s shopping and nightlife.
While the building is state of the art we have a very traditional ethos to independent travel and encourage our guests to meet one another by providing plenty of common space to mingle and interact.
In designing the Byron Bay Beach Hostel we were determined to provide excellent facilities while making it affordable for travellers on a budget. We also wanted to create spaces where travellers from around the world could get together. Our comfortable rooms, whether private or shared, will mean a good nights sleep with spring mattresses, privacy curtains on bunks. Our bathrooms are modern and clean to make your stay a real pleasure.
ROOF TOP BAR & CAFE
Nestled on the edge of an ancient culdera (volcano) Byron’s hinterland has rich, fertile soils which has helped to create a burgeoning local food industry. Weekly farmers’ markets are where you’ll find much of this local produce. In our Terrace Café/Bar we are hoping to focus on locally made and grown foods including our Byron Bun Coffee. Even our beers are local with Byron’s famous Stone and Wood Brewery providing some fantastic brews.
We hope you’ll find the relaxed and chilled out atmosphere of our rooftop Bar a great place to rest between the beach and town.
