Things to do with Kids

There are a broad range of activities to do with the kids in and around Byron Bay. Some suggestions are listed below. Some activities have age limits - please check with the individual businesses. You may like to also search from our 'tours and activities' page. Many of the tours below can be booked at the Byron Visitor Centre.

• See a movie at one of the two cinemas in town
• Take a circus class including flying trapeze, static trapeze, silks, hand balancing, rope, lyra, juggling, gymnastics and more
• Do an art class, make pottery or sculpture
• Visit the indoor kids play centre
• Hire a bike, kayak or beach gear
• Go on a whale watching tour OR watch from the Lighthouse (May to November only). 
• Go for a mountain bike ride in one of the beautiful local National Parks.
• Go on a sea kayak tour to see the dolphins, or on a river kayak
• Visit one of the many attractions in the area (see our list of attractions under 'attractions')
• Go on a tour to walk, view wildlife or see the countryside (see tour options under 'tours & activities')
