ACCOMMODATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

Full payment is due at time of booking.

Payment will be accepted by direct bank transfer, cheque/ money order or credit card.

An additional fee will be charged for credit card payments. We accept Visa and Mastercard only. This fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

All payments are due in Australian dollars. Prices include GST.

Accommodation costs are for room only and do not include transfers or breakfast cost unless otherwise stated.

Bookings must be made by persons 18 years of age or over. You may be asked for photo ID on check-in.

Quotes are an estimate only and are subject to availability and pricing at the time of booking.

If a payment is not received by the due date, every effort will be made to contact you, however, Byron Visitor Centre reserves the right to cancel bookings where payments are not received by the due date.

Online bookings with a $0 display in any day of your stay will not be honoured.

By paying you are accepting these terms and conditions.
SECURITY BONDS

Some property's require a security bond to be paid. A bond is payable to the property concerned and is subject to that property's terms and conditions.

Note bonds and/or bond percentages are different for different properties and will vary seasonally.

Bonds are taken as a security against damaged items or property, extra cleaning expenses over and above normal cleaning, excessive noise leading to complaints or any missing items.
CONFIRMATIONS

All bookings will be confirmed in writing by email. Until notification in writing is received by you, bookings are not confirmed.

Once a confirmation is received, it is important to check your booking has been recorded accurately and let us know as soon as possible if there are any inaccuracies so we can amend the booking accordingly.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Please notify the Byron Visitor Centre as soon as possible if any changes or cancellation is required.
-
If a cancellation is notified more than 30 days prior to arrival, a full refund will be made less a cancellation fee of 15% of the total.

If a cancellation is notified less than 30 days prior to arrival, or you fail to check-in as confirmed, the total value of the booking will be charged as an cancellation fee.

All changes to bookings will incurr a fee of $22 including GST. Please note, bookings at certain accommodation providers, or in certain time periods, or for certain room types cannot be cancelled or changed.

Where the Byron Visitor Centre's cancellation policy varies to the operator's cancellation policy, the Byron Visitor Centre's cancellation policy overrides that of the operator's.
PROPERTY ACCESS

Keys and entry to properties will vary from property to property, please check your itinerary for detailed information.

If you are arriving after hours or on a public holiday, please make prior arrangements for access to the property.

Standard check-in time is 2pm unless otherwise stated. Some properties allow an early check-in. Standard check-out time is 10am unless otherwise stated. Please be aware that some properties charge a late check-out fee after 10am.
OTHER CONDITIONS

The number of people specified in your booking is the maximum number of people allowed during your stay. Any changes to the number of people must be specified prior to arrival as extra charges may be applicable.

The person making the booking will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of all persons staying or visiting at the property.

Functions and parties are not allowed unless previously arranged and permission is granted in writing from the property.

Pets are only allowed in properties specifying 'pet friendly' by prior arrangement. Please refer to the property terms and conditions relating to pets.

In the event where the accommodation cannot be provided as previously confirmed, for whatever reason, Byron Visitor Centre will undertake to honour the booking in an alternative property of equal or greater value.
TOUR AND ACTIVITY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REFUND POLICY
Refunds for tours and activities booked through the Byron Visitor Centre will only be made in the following circumstances:

The tour or activity is cancelled or postponed by the tour operator due to weather conditions etc, and
-
The original receipt is presented to the BVC within 24 hours of the tour being cancelled, and
-
Permission is given by the tour operator to refund the charge.
No refunds will be made due to clients' non-arrival or late arrival. If the tour is cancelled with reasonable notice by the client, a refund will be made for the cost of the tour less the 15% booking fee.
OTHER CONDITIONS

Byron Visitor Centre cannot be held responsible for actions of property owners and/or managers or tour operators.

Every effort is made to ensure information provided about tours, activities and holiday accommodation properties is up to date and correct. We are unable to guarantee the accuracy of all information nor are we able to guarantee that the site is free of errors or faults. We reserve the right to change information displayed on our site (including these terms and conditions) at any time without notice to you.

All maps, photographs, illustrations and computer-based graphics are included for general purposes only and are not always indicative of the subject matter. Room photographs (graphics) may not be specific to the actual room occupied. Maps are not to scale.

We receive payments from our tour, activity and accommodation providers in return for the provision of our booking service.
LIABILITY
The Byron Visitor Centre (BVC) acts as a booking agent for its members. As such it will accept no liability for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (whatsoever and irrespective of whether direct, indirect, consequential) arising from the use of or connected with our booking service or any products or services purchased through that service by us, our employees or agents. We make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service booked through us. We sell accommodation from inventory supplied by each accommodation provider and we do not over-sell that inventory (we cannot accept liability for unavailability of rooms caused by an accommodation provider over-selling its own inventory). All efforts are made to ensure every operator is adequately insured, but it rests with the client to satisfy themselves that such insurances are in place.
PRIVACY POLICY
Please be assured that any information you give while making a booking on this site will be used only in reference to that booking. No details are kept by the Byron Visitor Centre, or sold or offered in any way to other parties.
