The 2018 Byron Bay Surf Festival is on its way and the festival line up is filling fast with the finest sliders, artists and creatives from around Australia and the globe coming to town for four days of surf culture and fun.

We are stoked to announce the following brand new events to be part of the 2018 BBSF schedule. We will be kicking off with Thursday night’s Surf Legends Loungeat the Byron Bay Community Centre Theatre, hosted by Surfing World Magazine’s Vaughan Blakey talking with surfing’s traditional, modern and futuristic minds about the weird, wonderful and ever-evolving world of riding waves.

Friday introduces the NEW Free Radicals surf jam featuring shorter high-performance alternative surf crafts and the current leaders in radical surfing set to blow minds. The Surf Art Show will feature Tim Kerr (USA)Otis Carey and Ozzie Wright at Lone Goat Gallery followed by the family-friendly Sunset Cinemaon the grass at Denning Park with a range of short and feature films to be announced in the New Year.

Saturday’s Surf Art Markets will feature a range of the finest surfboard craftsmen, environmental groups, activism workshops, leading fashion brand’s, artists, creators, and workshops to keep you entertained and inspired.

On Sunday we return to our spiritual sands of Wategos beach for the Freestyle & Stoke surf sessions event featuring a range of exhibition style surf categories including the McTavish Trim and featuring a selection of internationally renowned surfers and good vibes all day!

Each night we have an epic line up of bands and music at the legendary Beach Hotel proudly supported by Stone and Wood.
