This year sees AFL Queensland launch this inaugural AFL 9s Byron Bay Invitational to be held at the Byron Regional Sports and Cultural Complex on October 11 and 12. AFL 9s Teams from across the country will compete over two days for $16,000 worth of prize money in men

The Byron2Bruns Beach Run is a 10km run from Belongil Creek (just north of Byron Bay) to the Brunswick Surf Life Saving club in Brunswick Heads, NSW. A shuttle bus takes runners from Brunswick Heads to the starting line at Belongil with the race starting at 9am.

This ‘eco-friendly family fun’ day features the biggest kites in Australia, a Rokkaku kite flying challenge, kite making workshops, kite surfing, bike stunt demos, a decorated bike parade, the Duck Race on the beautiful Brunswick River and much more.

A 6.7k walk or a 10k run all in aid of charity. Now in its 8th year, the Byron Lighthouse Run is a community event proudly supported by local business. The organising committee take no money so that all proceeds can go to Charity. This years Charities are Langtang Valley Health (Australia) and Our House.
